The University of the Free State (UFS) is seeking two interns for a one-year contract appointment within the Centre for Teaching and Learning. This opportunity offers valuable experience in academic coordination, tutoring support, and administrative assistance, contributing to learning excellence in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain a tutor database
• Book venues and manage scheduling for tutorials and training
• Support tutors with planning and implementation of session plans
• Capture attendance and evaluation data for reporting
• Assist with ad-hoc claims and payment processes
• Help coordinate evaluations and portfolio assessments
• Support research initiatives and feedback collection

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma/B-Tech/postgraduate certificate (NQF Level 7)
• Must live within a commutable distance from the UFS Qwaqwa Campus
• Must not have previous formal work experience or be in another internship
• Willingness to sign a one-year internship agreement with UFS
